Band of Vacation

In the early 2000s, most of the music bands or music producers who started from zero will try to chase over a company label so they could raise their fame. Also, they could earn more money from only producing music despite performing on stage. 

It was different from our band which all of the members were already comfortable that time. The reason our band was formed in the first place, was just for a fun community and a way to express our emotions. We've already had our settled job and only using music just for a hobby. 

We never chased fame or money and didn't have any intention of doing music as our main job. We're just an underrated local band but, fortunately, one day, a big music label invited us to join them.

So we take the opportunity, neither for the reason of money or fame, we take it for the sake of healing. Each time when the label urged us to create an album or produce music, we exchanged the payment and production cost to pay a full staycation fee. We used to trick it, we already produced a whole album before in our private studio. So we could enjoy our vacation to the fullest, without thinking of any work to do.

We realized that our main corporate job has already taken a lot of time and energy. We work almost every day and it's hard to apply for a couple of days leave without a clear reason. But after joining the label, we now can use our hobby as well as the legal administration of it to take a break from our strict job. With music we had a lots of quality times together and still had a chance to feel the enjoyment of life.

Long story short, one year after that, our band gained more fame and performed on many stages because of our songs. Slowly, more and less, it affects our main corporate job, causing we have to choose to put the focus on just one or another. After much consideration, we all finally decided to put the whole focus info our band's musical career.

Unfortunately, two years after that, our band had to disband due to several issues such as family, egoism, idealism, and some of us started to use drugs. Although many fans were upset, we must go our separate ways for the sake of our good. 

We don't force ourselves to keep existing by replacing with new members, because we know the essence and feels of our music won't be the same. Some of us are still in contact, but there's some of the ex-members have lost contact with each other. We still earn money from the loyalty of our music and have an enough comfortable life. 

But sometimes, in a decade or more, with the power of some fans, we are forced to have a reunion performance. Somehow it makes a lot of money for us and it's touched our hearts, respect for all the loyal fans..... 

Now our band names only could be remembered, some ex-members have passed away and the rest have chosen to retire or do other work. One of us with the help of some fans succesfully build our own music label, so we could claim the ownership of our song by ourselves. We still remember our days of glory and the happy times when doing the vacation. Our names probably will be forgotten in one day, but our artwork will be remembered in the hearts of our fans.
