What Is "Kiw Kiw, Cukurukuk, Kugeru, Empuk Jeru, Kuk" Means In Indonesia?
Divided by the words "kiw kiw", "cukurukuk", and "kugeru, kuk" in Indonesia it's all have no definite meaning. It's the word to sounds a bird, specifficaly a turtle dove bird. Javanese people have used the word since a long time ago and has shifted in meaning to do catcalling.
Meanwhile "Empuk jeru" itself was a Javanese word that in English "Empuk" means "Tender/padded/soft" and "Jeru" means deep. So "empuk jeru" is a term that has a dirty connotation directed to female genitalia (vagina).
All of those terms went viral in the middle of August 2022 when there was a TikTok user named @sandie01041986 in one of his content saying the word to respond a comment in a fun way. Later, many people used the sound for meme templates and a lot of people also used it to just joking in all over Indonesia. Some people even used to make a funny song with it. Until now, the terms are still used to cat-call someone in a fun/joking way.
